Within a couple of days two incidents: Instead of receiving the dress I ordered I received an entirely different one, and a dress the USPS marked as delivered was never delivered. I was reimbursed promptly but super disappointed because the size I ordered was sold out.

On 12/26/24, I received a gift card ($50.00) to Anthropologie. I have never dealt with this company prior to receiving the gift card but went on their website and ordered a blouse.
I received the item, which was too big, too long, and looked nothing like the picture. I immediately returned the item. I forgot about the credit on my gift card until November 11, 2025. (I have never received any communication from Anthropologie even though I have a credit on my account - no emails at all.) I called and talked to Lenea (on 11/11/25) and asked for my balance - she told me $20.77.
I said that can't be right and asked to talk to a supervisor - Katy. She said she reviewed my account and said, 'I see you returned the item but you were never given credit for it.' I asked for an itemized copy of my account from 12/26/24 quite a few times. Katy said she would refer my account to the financial department and they would get back to me as soon as possible. On November 12, 2025, I received an email from Anthropologie saying I had $20.77 in my account.
I was also sent a survey, filled it out, no response. I immediately called Anthropologie and talked to Paul. I asked to speak to Katy (supervisor), kept me on hold, and came back with, 'Katy is on break - I gave her your message, and she will call you back.' Katy didn't call me back, but I was sent another survey which I again responded to with negative feedback - no response. I called again to Anthropologie, talked to Abigail, asked to speak to Katy, and she said she couldn't do that, put me on hold, and came back on the line, 'Sorry, I can't let you talk to her.' I asked again for an itemized copy of my account, but she said, 'Sorry, I don't do that,' yet she wouldn't let me talk to someone who does do that.
I sent another survey, which I filled out with more negative answers.
My gift card was $50.00, I bought a blouse and returned it (which Anthropologie acknowledged), and yet almost a year later, my account is not rectified - I asked Katy if they charge for returns, and she said, 'NO.' How can a company like Anthropologie have such poor accounting and terrible customer service and still be in business? I would appreciate any assistance you can give me in resolving this matter.

Look closely at your account if you ever returned something call them every day to see if they will give you the refund because they haven’t done it for me for over a year. Very hard company to deal with. Customer service and financial services are horrible in my opinion in this company.
I wrote a review in November 2025, and a copy of my complaint was supposedly sent to the legal department of Anthropologie (returned an item a year before and was never given credit). This follow-up review is to report that Anthropologie never replied to my complaint. Poor customer service and poor accounting practices!

Problem with my slacks just received

I purchased a dress online (for a wedding). When I received it, I noticed that it had a defect on it (and no tags).
I requested an exchange online and was provided a return waybill. I returned the dress. After several weeks (and numerous calls), I still had not received the dress (and the wedding had come and gone). I called customer service to tell them that I no longer needed the dress and to cancel my order.
Time after time, I was told lies. This company did not reimburse me (after more than 2 months). I had to dispute the charge with my bank. To my surprise, they presented the bank with a fraudulent receipt showing a reimbursement (when there is no matching transaction with my bank).
I will not let this go, and I am ready to spend 10 times more than what I paid for in legal services if I have to, just out of principle. This company is running a scam.

I purchased a duvet cover from Anthro. The quality was terrible.
I tried to print a return label on the site but received an error message that I need to contact the third-party seller who is selling this duvet on the Anthro site. I contacted the third-party seller (Coyuchi) and they referred me back to Anthro. Both companies are passing the buck, and I can't get a return label. Anthro should back the quality of the items they are selling on their site, apparently, they don't.
I have filed a dispute with the Better Business Bureau and my next step is to file a dispute with my credit card to get my money back.
I have also spent hours on hold trying to reach a supervisor, when I do reach one, I am told to go to the Coyuchi site to print a label, with an Anthro order number. Again, I receive an error message.

The women in the dressing room were sooo helpful and very sweet. They helped me figure out an outfit to wear for an upcoming occasion.
Everything was fine and dandy, but once I got into the checkout line, things started to change.
When I was called up to the counter, the woman (Sales Associate: 348841) start off nice. She started ringing up my chosen items, and when I saw the price for a top (that I would only wear once) I was surprised and asked her to remove the item. I didn't look at the price beforehand but realized I didn't eat to purchase an expensive ($129) top to just sit in my closet. Her mood shifted, but she continued scanning.
I then let her know I had my birthday discount that I'd like to use on the clothing items, additionally, I had picked a candle for a gift. The candle was selected as 20% off as well, but the cashier insisted to let me know that somehow.. this candle.. would be final sale.
Final Sale. I was so confused as to why she would feel the need to tell me something that was't true. It was not a sales item. I was already getting pissed off with her.
I just wanted to use my birthday discount one the clothes. I wasn't trying to steal the candle by using an additional discount. She grabbed the phone out of my hand starts scrolling to "verify" my code. It was so unbelievable, I wish I was making this up.
Telling me that I would't be able to use my friggin code, and this isn't the first time this place would do this on my birthday discount. She then slide my phone on that rough counter, scratching my camera lenses. I'm paying for my things, she bags my stuff, purposely excluding the piece that started all this.. the candle!!
No wrapping, no tape, just left it on the counter as if it were a go back item. I had to blatantly ask her to please put tape on it so the lid wouldn't get lost.
I'm so bothered by her actions and attitude. The sales reps are so nice, getting you to spend hundreds of dollars. But continue to be unbelievably rude and have this persona as if they ow the clothing chain!!
Are they investors of the store?? Why do they accuse everyone that goes in as a thief. Some of these women somehow believe they are entitled to work at this retail store making minimum wage.
It's almost a power trip for them as they stand behind that counter. Makes them look so stupid and makes you feel like you're wrong for even purchasing items there.

Absolutely garbage customer service with copy and paste answers. I sent them a return with a trackable link to the Netherlands to the address they gave me from customer service and I could see it reached the Netherlands.
When I contacted them, they said they could not get the parcel and from there onward they did not help me a single bit. I paid for the return myself and it cost me a lot of money and they were so unhelpful. Please do not believe their European returns policy - it does not work and they will not help if you have any problems. They told me they would be in contact with me in 24-48 hours, but no one contacted me in over 96 hours and I had to contact them myself and even then they did not help me and just gave me copy and paste answers.
This is the worst experience I have had with a company in many, many years of online shopping and I have to warn you - only order if you will keep everything! You cannot return and they will not help you, even if you have proof of your return and can track it. I lost so much money, almost 50 euros in just this return case.
I am beyond disbelief of this company and their service. Please be very careful when using them in Europe and only shop in a store!

- - It weighs 265 lbs, left on its side with arrows pointing to the wrong room; pickup/removal requested.
I paid for the so-called "white glove delivery service". The driver showed up, unloaded the dresser in the box, took it to the designated place and left it in the box.
He claimed the service did not require him to remove the dresser out of the box. So now it sits as he left it, on its side, indication arrows are pointing to the room to the right and not to the ceiling as they should and it weighs 265 lbs.
Please tell me what I am to do with a package that size? I am 5'3" 117.
This is THE WORST DELIVERY SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED.
Please come pick up your furniture as I no longer want it. Also please pick up the night stand that was delivered earlier in the day & wow they took it out of the box, AND CANCEL THE OTHER NIGHT STAND THAT IS GOD KNOWS WHERE.

Called into the Anthropology call center for a simple question about my online order. The employee was rude, unprofessional and never answered my question.
I just hung up and cancelled my order through my account. Ive experienced this once before with this call center.
Anthropology hires rude and unprofessional employees to be the voice of their company. Theres too many other places to shop and thats exactly what I did.
